Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came third in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then attended at the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three in her various events at the Olympics which took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
